Five for Friday: burgers, bugs, and brrrrr!

This week has been nuts. I honestly can't believe it's Friday - I have no idea where the past few days went. We had a major meeting happening at work this week, and I was working extra hours every day to get everything done for various projects. Plus, we had a snow day (which just means working from home for me), which totally threw off the meeting schedule, and we've had to deal with Polar Vortex version 2.0. It's been a week for the books, and I am thrilled that it is winding down.

It's been a while since I did a good 'ol fashioned Five for Friday post, so I thought I'd give that whirl this week. If you follow me on Instagram, you've probably seen these.... sorry not sorry.

1 // it's Restaurant Week in our town, and it is awesome. I love having an excuse a chance to try some new restaurants. Last night, C picked me up from the train and we went to Vivify for the first time. It was awesome! It's a burger joint with a bar, and it has a totally chill, fun feel. Very relaxed, nice staff, and yummy food. I had a black bean burger with siracha ranch and it was fantastic. (Added bonus - Vivify has a rooftop bar and deck that I can't WAIT to try out this spring!!)

2 // Enjoyed a glass of red in a glass from one of the wineries we visited from my birthday - I love wineries that give out normal-sized glasses with their tastings, because it's fun to reminisce while I sit on my couch. I don't know what those little tiny tasting glasses are about.... #aintnobodygottimeforthat

3 // Gave in to some of the snacks provided during our meetings... I just can't say no to Goldfish! They are one of my favorite salty treats. So addicting!

4 // This cat. I swear. First of all - that little tiny speck is a stink bug. I have NO IDEA how these damn bugs are surviving the winter (and the Polar Vortexes), but they are - I have found three in my house in the past week. The cat is more scared of them than they are of him... he just sits there and stares at them, then runs away when they move a little closer. He was hilarious to watch the other night - the bug was totally torturing him.

5 // Still riding the Ski Trip 2014 high - we had so much fun! I definitely wish we had the opportunity to get on the slopes more often. The trip never feels long enough!
