I have a love / hate, take-it-or-leave-it relationship with Pintrest. I never fully hopped on board in the very beginning - I created a profile and used it a bit, but then kind of forgot about it. My issue with it is the same issue that plenty of other people have: it's great in theory, but when am I ever
really going to do all those crafts or make all those cookies or cook all those dinner or organize every single thing in my house? Knowing that the answer is
never, it generally gives me anxiety to go on the site and see all the things I'll never do. It's a weird, cyclical beast. I love it, but I abhor it. What can ya do?
However, every few months, I find myself back on there, pinning like a mad woman for two or three days, thinking of all the amazing things I
could be doing. (I will say, I've found a few great recipes from Pintrest, and completed like a singular craft that was pretty cool - the majority of my inspiration for cooking and crafting and being a working housewife just comes from other blogs.) This is one of those weeks - I have been pinning
ALL THE THINGS. It all started when I started brainstorming for L2's baby shower (eeeek!) and since then I cannot stop. This, too, shall pass, but in the meantime...
Five for Friday!
My five favorite pins from this week.
1.
Banana Pudding Poke Cake - ummmm,
yum. I am obsessed with banana pudding. I must make this.
2.
Feeding New Moms - It seems like everyone I know is pregnant. I truly think that one of the best "gifts" you can give a person (new mom, new homeowner, new whatever) is a meal - comfort food, from the heart, fully prepared and ready to go. This post offers the basics on how to provide a complete, simple meal.
3.
The Laundry Counter - this is genius, and I must have this in my future "forever" home. I would die to have this amazing workspace in my laundry area, rather than my stacking washer and dryer.
4.
Peanut Butter Oreo Brownies - there are no words.
5.
Kitchen Island with Built-In Wine Rack - a girl can dream.
How do you feel about Pintrest? Love it? Hate it? What do you find you pin the most of? For me, it's probably recipes.

I want 3, 4, and 5. Kristie just made the pb oreo brownies, but make sure you spray paper tins so it doesn't get stuck to the brownie! that happened to her. Still delicious though. She also made one batch with one oreo instead of two.
#2----->Yes! A cooked meal within the first week or two after bringing a baby home is much appreciated! Also, more time for you to snuggle that baby boy while mom and dad EAT/sleep! (I read L's blog too, from you :-) She is adorable pregs!) Also, diapers are always, always needed, no matter what! :-)
I plan to get her set up with a few crock-pot meals in freezer bags that she can just pull out and throw in, too - anything to make life a little easier! :) And speaking of diapers, guess what her Christmas present was? ...a giant box from BJs. HA! :)
AH good tip. Thank ya ma'am! And the wine rack... I just can't. I'd die!
Definitely the food pictures, I am addicted to them! But I also love pinterest for homeschool ideas and to look at pretty rooms :-)
